Qavah: Food Security Manual

Qavah is a series of training materials created by Compassion International to empower communities and families to solve challenges utilizing resources at their disposal. Qavah is a Hebrew word which means ‘binding together, eagerly waiting, hoping for and expecting’. This term captures a sense of optimism and hope, along with the idea of working together, which is essential for positive, lasting change to take place. The aim of this resource is to equip households with the basic knowledge of what causes food insecurity and its symptoms. In addition, a number of low cost and simple measures that can be carried out by households to ensure a plentiful and continuous supply of food will be explored.
